How the discount tiers work

Every product on PenDepot carries the same four-tier discount ladder. Add enough units of any product to your cart, and the discount applies automatically - no promotional code, no calling us, no account required for the standard tiers.

Tiers apply per line item by quantity, not per order total. A cart with 8 pens and 6 whiteboard markers gets no discount on either line; a cart with 12 pens and 6 markers gets 5% off the pen line only.
No minimum order on the standard range.

Per-unit pricing

Every product page shows a per-unit price alongside the pack price. For a box of 50 BIC Cristal ballpoints at $18.00 ($0.36/pen), buying 100 boxes (5,000 pens) at the 15% tier brings the per-unit cost to $0.31/pen. PenDepot is the only sibling site that surfaces this on every product - it is the core display difference between a bulk supplier and a retail pen shop.

Common questions

Do bulk discounts apply automatically, or do I need a code?

Automatic. When the quantity of any line item reaches a tier threshold (10, 50 or 100), the discount applies in the cart without any code or account. The cart total and the GST tax invoice both reflect the discounted price.

Is there a minimum order?

No minimum on the standard range. You can order one pen or one thousand - though the economics improve considerably once you hit the first tier at 10 units per line.

How do mixed-brand or mixed-product orders work?

Tiers apply per line item by quantity. If you order 60 Staedtler fineliners and 8 Posca markers, the fineliners line gets 10% off (50-99 tier) and the Posca line gets no discount (below 10). Increasing the Posca quantity to 10 would trigger 5% off that line too.

Do you provide a GST tax invoice?

Yes. Every order generates a GST tax invoice automatically. It is attached to your order confirmation email. Business Account holders can also download invoices from their order history.

What is a Business Account and how do I open one?
